The holidays are closing in, so it’s a great time for a guest announcement…..and by guest we mean guests! Please welcome both Les and Mary Claypool to Kitsunekon 2018!

Les E. Claypool III

Les Claypool has been the owner/operator of Magnitude 8 Post since 1989. Starting in January of 1992, he was approached by U.S. Renditions and L.A. Hero to provide audio services for their new joint venture of dubbing Anime into English. Early projects from the Jgarage studio daysK included Orguss, Macross II, Guyver, and the first Giant Robo among others.

Quickly outgrowing the garage, Less facility eventually grew to encompass multiple rooms in two locations. Anime credits include Akira (2001 Version), Ambassador Magma, Appleseed, Armitage (series & movies), Big O, Blackjack (series & movie), Black Magic MX66, Castle of Cagliostro (1999 & 2015), Catnapped, Code Geass, Cowboy Bebop 5.1 Remixes, El Hazard, Fist of the North Star, Giant Robo, Ghost in the Shell, Ghost in the Shell: Innocence & Solid State Society, Gundam 0080, 0083, and MS 08th Team, Guyver II, Guyver: Dark Hero music score, Lain, Legend of Black Heaven, Macross Plus, Mysterious Play, Ninja Scroll, Orguss 02, Stand Alone Complex (52 episodes), Streetfighter II V series, Streetfighter II (including the 2015 restoration and remix), TriXGun, The Wanderers, Wings of Honneamise, and Wolfss Rain.

Mary Claypool

In 1994, the late ADR director, Kevin Seymour, offered Mary her first try at English ADR script writing on Episode 3 of Giant Robo. Kevin deemed her work a success, thus launching her 23Xyear career writing dubbing scripts for animation and live action.

Some of Maryss many credits include Armitage (series and features), Big O, Blackjack (series and feature), Bushido Blade, Castle of Cagliostro, Catnapped, Code Geass, Cowboy Bebop, Devil May Cry, Dot Hack, El Hazard, Ghost in the Shell, Ghost in the Shell:Innocence & Solid State Society, Kekkaishi, Laws of the Universe, Outlaw Star, Resident Evil: Degeneration, Stand Alone Complex (52 episode series), Streetfighter II feature, and Wings of Honneamise.
