Photo Shoots and Meetups!

Cosplay Photoshoots and meetups are a great way to interact and meet fellow attendees who appreciate the same things you do! Meetup groups can be anything from J-Fashion, Ita bags, Japanese Wrestling, etc – there is something for everyone!

Each event is led by a Captain who will apply for the theme and time slot. This person will coordinate the gathering at the scheduled time and location.

Professional Photographers will not be provided by the convention for these events.

Captain Responsibilities

Captains should arrive at the location 5 MINUTES EARLY to gauge attendance and make any adjustments to the space.

Captains are responsible for ensuring that the event begins and ends on time. They should remain aware of the time limit to be wrapped up 5 minutes prior to the next scheduled event to respect other groups using the same space.

Captains are responsible for the event area during their scheduled time. The location should not be left in a mess. Participants should help with cleaning up after the event as needed.

Scheduled Events Have Priority

Attendees are welcome to utilize the area in downtime between scheduled events. Please be respectful of any scheduled events. Once it is time for a scheduled event to begin, that group has priority to use that location and it is expected that anyone not participating in the theme of that event is to leave the area.

Event Etiquette

If you are attending a photoshoot, please be courteous to other participants and photographers.

  • Do not block shots

  • Do not touch items or equipment that does not belong to you

  • Do not be loud and/or obnoxious

Please be respectful to your Captain and follow their direction throughout the photoshoot. They have volunteered their time to organize this event!

These events are allowed to have music. It should not be too loud or contain publicly inappropriate material. We are a Family Friendly convention and all music needs to follow the guidelines set up in the Code of Conduct.

If you disagree with the way the event is being run, you do not have to participate.

If something or someone is making you feel uncomfortable regarding the event in a way that violates Kitsune Kon’s code of conduct and overall safety policy, please let security or a staff member know.
